|Struise Black Damnation III - Black Mes|
|Imperial Stout. Brewed by De Struise Brouwers. Oostvleteren, Belgium. The Black Damnation series is a dark twist of Urban’s mind. His idea is to realize a dozen beers with the use of Black Albert, and over a period of two years, that are as black as hell, filthy rich in the nose and with a massive taste.
Black Damnation III was made with Black Albert that aged for 3 months on Paul Melia’s (Mes) favorite Whisky, the "Caol Ila’s Distillers Version 1995". 13% ABV.
|Review||Pours a deep black color with a nice big dark tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolates, hops, liquorice, smoke and spices. Flavors of strong roasted malts, coffee, chocolates, liquorice, whiskey and spices. Good carbonation, light sweet and stronger bitterness, very dry finish. Some long lasting smokeyness, wood and whiskey notes. I am not a fan of whiskey but the complexity and great balance of the flavors are wonderfull. Packed with strong flavors that stays long in mouth. So wonderfull and pleasant.|
