|Boulevard Pale Ale|
|Boulevard Pale Ale is a smooth, fruity, well-balanced beer with year-round appeal.
A variety of caramel malts imparts a rich flavor and amber color, while liberal use of whole hops adds zest and aroma. Boulevard Brewing Company's first beer (1989). 5.4% alcohol.
|Review||Boulevard is one of my favorite brands of beer to get when I'm visiting my dad in Missouri (I live in Michigan). This is one of my favorite ones from B.B.C.
Poured about half the 12oz bottle into a tumbler-style pint glass, swirled the bottle to agitate the yeast on the bottom of it and then poured the rest.
It is a nice, cloudy, pale amber color with about a two and a half to three fingers width, tan head. The head lingers the whole time you're drinking and never fully dissipates, but rather lingers after while as a thin film of foam on top of the beer.
The smell is very pleasant indeed. A nice floral hoppiness with caramel malts and ale yeasts. A mild grainy smell is present there as well.
Taste mirrors the smell alot. Malty and mildly grainy with a bitter hoppy finish. Very flavorful to say the least, and has I'd say a nice medium mouthfeel.
I rate this 4 out of 5 stars (Most Excellent)
