| Stillwater Autumnal American Farmhouse Ale | |

This deep amber hued ale takes it’s inspiration from Germany while still nodding to the Belgian farmhouse tradition. The base is comprised of German two-row, wheat, Cara-Munich, and roasted barley. Generously hopped with a blend of Perle, Spalt, and Hallertau Mittelfrüh and fermented with a rustic Belgian farmhouse ale yeast. These elements together provide a melange of earth and fruit aromas backed with hints of caramel with a dry clean finish. ABV 7.2% |

| Review | Reviewed: May 10, 2012 My first, I’ve been looking forward to trying this one. Serving Type: A beautiful 1 pt. 9.4 oz bottle with a great label. The name of the beer is vertical located on the side of the label. I didn’t notice it at first. Glassware: Tulip (see photo) This one opened with a lot of smoke and poured a very dark brown with lots of bubbles and created a huge fluffy tan head that left wispy lacing in my glass. Smell greets you with some sweet spices, fruit, raisins and candy. It has a medium body with very lively carbonation. Entry is strong fruit and floral notes, across the sip is some toasted bread, tart citrus and thick malts. It finishes crisp and bitter with some alcohol showing up. Wow, this is a really nice Farmhouse Ale! Haven’t had one like this before. Lots of flavor, strong with a good balance. It’s defiantly got a kick to it. I give it 4 ½ stars, Outstanding and would recommend it. This is a nice year round brew. I can’t wait to try out their other offerings. |
